Acceptance of these terms

These Terms of Use govern your use of this website and the free calculators on it (the “Site”), operated by GLYO.com (“Glyo”, “we”). By using the Site you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use it.

What the Site is

The Site describes the Glyo HR and payroll application for companies in the Gulf Cooperation Council (Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Qatar, Bahrain and Oman) and offers calculators for annual leave, social security and end of service. The Site is not the Glyo application itself. Use of the application is governed by a separate agreement.

Calculators: estimates, not advice

The calculators give estimates for planning. They are built from a rules dataset compiled from public sources, and that dataset is a starting point that may be incomplete, out of date or wrong for your situation.

  • Results are not legal, tax, actuarial or accounting advice, and do not replace the position of the competent authority, your contract or your company policy.
  • Islamic holiday dates are estimates until each government announces them, and some national days depend on decrees. Estimated dates are marked in the calculator.
  • Laws, rates and holidays change. Check the current rules with the relevant authority or a qualified adviser before you rely on a figure.
  • The figures you enter are processed in your browser and are not sent to us (see the Privacy Policy).

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • use the Site in breach of applicable law or the rights of others;
  • attempt to disrupt, probe or overload the Site, or bypass any technical limit;
  • scrape or copy the Site or its rules dataset at scale, or resell it, without our written permission;
  • submit false, misleading or unlawful content through the contact form.

Intellectual property

The Site, the Glyo name and logo, the design, the text and the rules dataset belong to GLYO.com or its licensors and are protected by intellectual property law. You may view the Site and use the calculators for your own internal business purposes. All other rights are reserved.

Names of authorities and laws (for example PIFSS, GOSI, GPSSA, GRSIA, SIO and SPF) belong to their owners and are used only to identify them. Glyo is not affiliated with or endorsed by them.

Disclaimer and limit of liability

The Site and the calculators are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of accuracy, completeness or fitness for a particular purpose, to the extent the law allows.

To the extent the law allows, Glyo is not liable for any loss arising from your reliance on a calculator result, or from the Site being unavailable. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law.

Changes to the Site and these terms

We may change the Site, the calculators, the rules dataset or these terms at any time. The date at the top of this page shows the latest version. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of State of Kuwait, and the courts of that jurisdiction have jurisdiction over disputes, unless mandatory law says otherwise. If the Arabic and English versions differ, the Arabic version prevails.
